Jairus M Cook

Jairus Cook was a Vallejo native and a master barber with over 30 years of experience in the barbering industry. His journey was rooted in community, craftsmanship, and genuine care for the people he served. A graduate of Hinton Barber College in Vallejo, Jairus refined his skills and poured his passion into his work at The Double-Edged Experience Barbershop, where he became a respected and beloved presence.

To Jairus, clients were never just customers—they were family. He took immense pride in every service, consistently striving for excellence while remaining humble, teachable, and committed to personal and professional growth. His impact extended far beyond the chair, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Jairus’s legacy continues through the Jairus Cook Scholarship, established in his honor by The More Than A Cut Foundation (MTAC) to support and uplift the next generation of barbers.
